History

Western Medical Surgery Center's innovative and personable service continues at Cache Valley Specialty Hospital.

After years of hard work, a health care choice for Cache Valley became a reality on October 3, 2000 when Cache Valley Specialty Hospital (CVSH) opened.

CVSH is the result of a vision shared by local, independent physicians.

The innovative Western Medical Surgery Center, and patient-focused Mountain West Physical Therapy clinics came together to form the new hospital.

1984 Physical therapists establish Mountain West Physical Therapy. Since then, Mountain West Physical Therapy expanded its services and added locations to meet patient needs. Locations available today include: CVSH, Providence, Preston, Malad, Tremonton & The Sports Academy.

1995 Local, independent physicians from Western Medical Surgery Center move forward with plans to build a hospital.

1999 Independent physicians and Mountain West Physical Therapy partner with National Surgical Hospitals (NSH) to build a hospital. NSH is a company that helps existing surgery centers become hospitals.
